Is death due to suicide considered an insured event?
Death due to suicide is considered an insured event, but only if the death of the Insured due to suicide or the consequences of attempted suicide occurred at the end of three years after the start of the Insurance Contract, if such an event took place within three years from the date of conclusion of the Contract, it is not considered insured event and the insurance payment is not made.
An exception is driving the Insured Person to suicide – in this case, the insurance payment is made throughout the entire term of the contract.
